Sweet surprises!

The silver lining of this year’s wet spring? Berries!! My expeditions exploring the property and getting familiar with the landscape ended up turning into hunting for strawberry and raspberry patches, which to my delight are all over the property! Check out the size of these wild strawberries and wild raspberries!!

If you’ve ever tasted a wild berry, you know that there is nothing like it. The flavors are intense and seem to explode in your mouth. And the smell of sweet berries while you are picking is intoxicating. If your senses haven’t experienced this before, not to worry. I am planning to organize and offer some berry picking experiences next year so keep a watch out for the invitation.
