Our ranch family just got bigger!

After a long journey from Toronto, our chicks were delivered safe and sound!!

Together with my best farm girlfriend, 100 chicks (layers and turkeys) were picked up from the airport and driven out to the ranch. No loud music and singing this ride! Instead, I just listened to the sound of little peeps (such a calming sound)…

When we arrived home, the weather decided to surprise us. Rob had purposefully positioned the brooder on the east side of the house, where we get minimal wind. Well, this evening we were greeted with gale force blizzard winds coming in from the east!! So we decided to heat up the sunroom and house everyone in there for now.  

The chicks are happy and everyone is smitten!!
